SEMINARY ORIENTATION (SO 100 – SO 600)

Having an understanding of the seminary's biblical foundation and Godly purpose will give credibility to its educational structure for advanced theological studies.  This knowledge will inspire a confidence in each student that they have chosen a well-qualified seminary for their academic achievements.  The student orientation program was designed for the express purpose of giving each enrolling student an opportunity to gain insight into Evangelical Theological Seminary's reason for existence.  This is a non-credit course.

The student orientation program is to be completed in two parts.

I.   Evangelical Theological Seminary Crest

Read the detailed description on the Seminary Crest.  Next, list a specific crest symbol and then write your own descriptive text on that particular symbol.  Continue through all of the crest symbols until they have been explained.  Support your interpretation of the Seminary Crest with Scripture references and added personal textual writing.  This written portion of the orientation is to be approximately 1500 words.

II. Soteriology (Salvation)

This portion of the student orientation is to be completed in essay form.  The essay contents will consist of the following main subject categories:  “Salvation Defined” and “Salvation Includes.”   This written portion of the orientation is to be approximately 1500 words.
